Alexis Lepperd, Artistic Director
Alexis has a Bachelor’s Degree in Dance Therapy with a minor in Theatre from the University of Wisconsin – Whitewater. She is certified with Dance Masters of Wisconsin in Ballet and jazz and is an active member of the organization.She is a member Chicago National Association of Dance Masters (CNADM), where she is pursuing a Certified Dance Educator (CDE) certificate. She has studied ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, and hula in Janesville, Wisconsin for her preliminary training and continued her ballet education with the Rockford Dance Company in Rockford, Illinois. Additionally, she studied ballet, tap, modern, and improvisation at the university level, and her choreography was featured in several university dance productions. Alexis attended and performed at the American College Dance Festival from 2001-2005. In 2004, she won a performance based scholarship from DMW. She has presented her own choreography for several of the dance competitions she has participated in over the years, and has received Platinum and Judge’s Choice awards for her choreography at competitions from 2005-2009. She has also done choreography for many school and community theatre groups including Parker Playhouse, Janesville Little Theatre, and Stageworks Projects. She is presently studying with the School of Madison Ballet in Madison, WI, and performed in their 2008 production of The Nutcracker. Alexis taught at several studios throughout southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois, beginning as an assistant in 1994, before coming to Dance Now! Dance Studios in 2008. She was delighted to be named Artistic Director for the studio in 2009 and is looking forward to the rewards and challenges that it presents!
Robert Strohmayer
Robert is a Certified Dance Educator thru Chicago National Association of Dance Masters. He specializes in Classical Ballet, Tap and Lyrical dance education. He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in dance performance and theatrical design. He trained in contemporary ballet, jump rhythm jazz, modern and movement analysis dance techniques. He is a member in good standing of Chicago National Association of Dance Masters as well as Dance Masters of Wisconsin since 2003 and has recently been elected as an Assistant to the Board. He has trained for the past 20 years under multitudes of instructors as well as taught in varying types of dance studios for the past 8 years.
Keytra Neuberger
Keytra is a Junior at the Beaver Dam High School. She has been very into hip hop style dance ever since she was little and has worked hard in advancing her talent. While she has never been formally trained in dance, she has excelled in the art form. Keytra spent her sohpmore year on the Beaver Dam Dance team where she won first place in the dance competition held in Appleton for her solo performance. She has also volunteered her time in working with the middle school students in preparation of their Talent Show numbers. Keytra enjoys working with others and she is very excited to start teaching at Dance Now! Studios. Keytra will be attending the Dance Masters of Wisconsin Dance Conventions and dancing in various competitions throughout the season.
Kacie Thomas
Ballroom Instructor
Kacie comes to us with over seven years of ballroom dance teaching experience. Kacie specilizes in teaching beginners and also choreographs for weddings and competitions. Kacies is enthusiastic and has a fun personality.
